Hosting Diaries: Italian Summer
Today, I'm taking you on a journey through my recent Italian summer dinner party, inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean. Follow along as I share the details of my menu and all the little touches that made it a memorable night.
Tablescape
All my dinner parties begin with a carefully designed tablescape to suit the theme. To make things easier for you, I have compiled some of my favourite items in accordance with the Italian Summer theme in my very own LTK shopfront. Shop my look here.
Outfit
Ensure your outfit is steamed and on a hanger ready for your event the night before. I hired my Italian Summer outfit from The Volte.
Drinks
Obviously Aperol OR Hugo Spritz. Get your guests to bring a bottle of Prosecco! Refer to my LTK cocktails collection.
Food
The heart of the evening - the food.
heirloom tomatoes and burrata (because everyone loves burrata!)
goats cheese stuffed figs - this is both aesthetically pleasing and delicious
sicilian olives (essential)
penne alle vodka - the perfect pasta for a dinner party because its both simple to prepare and is a crowd pleaser.
pear and rocket salad (you can’t go wrong)
& lemon sorbet for dessert!
Music
Refer to my carefully curated Italian Summer Playlist.
I hope this inspires you for your next dinner party at home!
